Privacy Policy
The Gold Room (“we”, “us”) runs goldroomchicago.com. This page explains what information the website collects, who handles it on our behalf, and the choices you have. Short version: we collect only what a request needs, we never sell your information, and we do not share it for other companies' marketing.
What We Collect, and Why
When you contact us or apply for a job
The forms on this site (party and VIP inquiries, general contact, and the job application) send what you type — your name, phone, email and your message — by email to club management, using an email delivery service. We use it only to reply to you. Applications go straight to management and are not posted anywhere.
When you buy merch
Orders are placed through Stripe, our payment processor. Your card details are entered on Stripe's own checkout page and never touch our servers. We receive the details needed to fill the order: what you bought, the shipping address you entered, and your email and phone so we can send a receipt and reach you about the order. Stripe's handling of payment data is described in Stripe's privacy policy. Items you add to the cart are stored in your own browser until you check out or clear them; that list never leaves your device.
When you sign up for text alerts
Text messages come from our SMS program (text GOLD to 404404). Your number is used only for Gold Room specials, up to 5 messages a month; reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help. The full terms are on the texting policy page.
When you visit
We use two kinds of website measurement:
- Our own visitor statistics: the pages viewed, the time of the visit, whether a form was submitted, and the approximate area you are visiting from (city and state, estimated from your network connection). Your IP address is not stored, and we do not record what you type into forms.
- Google Tag Manager, which loads Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion measurement. These set cookies and, if you arrived from one of our ads, record that the ad led to a visit or a sign-up. Google's privacy policy describes how Google handles that data, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on or by blocking cookies.
The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which protects it from attacks and may collect basic, cookie-free traffic statistics.
Who Else Handles Your Information
Only the companies that make the site work, each for its own job: our hosting and network providers (Vercel and Cloudflare), Stripe for payments, our email delivery service for form messages, our SMS provider for text alerts, and Google for measurement. None of them is allowed to use your information for their own marketing.
What We Never Do
We never sell your information, and we never share it with other businesses for their marketing. We do not share your phone number or text-alert sign-up with anyone.
Your Choices
You can cancel text alerts at any time by replying STOP. You can decline cookies in your browser. To ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, email info@goldroomchicago.com or call (708) 375-1111.
Age
This is a 21-and-over venue and the website is not directed at anyone under 21.
Changes
