Schaumburg fills up with people who don't live there. Woodfield is the biggest mall in Illinois, the convention center hotel at I-90 and Meacham Road books trade shows into a 100,000-square-foot exhibition hall, and summer nights bring Boomers games at Wintrust Field. By late evening the visitors are back at their hotels and the locals are looking for somewhere that's still open. The Gold Room is open until 5 AM, and it's a straight run down I-290 with no tolls.
The route is the simple part: about 15 miles from Woodfield, most of it on one interstate, no tolls, and a lot with ample on-site parking at the end.
If you're in town for a show, the timing works for you. The club opens at 4 PM on weekdays, so a trade show floor that closes at five leaves time for Hero Hour ($3 Anti-Hero IPA, Monday through Friday until 8 PM) before the room fills up. No reservation is needed on a regular night. If you're bringing a group from the booth, call (708) 375-1111 and VIP seating with bottle service will be ready before you get there.
After a day of standing at a booth, the first thing most people want is a seat and a real meal, and the steakhouse kitchen serves until 4 AM. After that, the room takes over: entertainers on several stages at once, private dances, and a bar that goes deep on premium spirits and champagne.

From Woodfield and the Convention Center
From Woodfield, pick up I-290 east by the mall. From the convention center, take Algonquin Road to Route 53 south, which runs together with I-290. Either way, keep right to stay on I-290 where Route 53 splits away, then get off at Exit 13A, signed US-20 East, roughly 11 miles past Woodfield. The ramp forks almost at once: go left for Lake Street, not right for the Tri-State, and follow Lake Street east. The US-20 signs peel off to the south at Mannheim Road; ignore them, go straight through the intersection, and the club is right there on your left. Allow about 25 minutes, with no tolls along the way.
