Franklin Park runs on shifts. Machine shops and manufacturing floors, freight docks and distribution warehouses, the O'Hare-corridor operations that never really close — quitting time here lands at 5 PM, at midnight, at 4 in the morning, depending on which door you clock out of. The Gold Room was built for that clock. We sit a straight shot down Mannheim Road from Franklin Park — about ten minutes, no expressway required — and the doors stay open until 5 AM every night of the week.

If your day ends at five, Hero Hour is waiting. Monday through Friday from 5 to 8 PM, the bar pours $3 Anti-Hero IPA — the right way to put a long day down before the room fills up. The bar keeps going well past the special, and out on the floor, world-class entertainers take the stages all night under a sound and lighting system built like a real concert rig.

If your day ends when everyone else's is starting, that works too. The kitchen runs until 4 AM, with Prime steaks, entrees and appetizers that hold up after a double. A real dinner at 3 in the morning isn't a workaround here; it's on the menu because this corridor keeps real hours. You could point the car downtown instead and pay for it the whole way, from the garage to the ride home. Or stay on your own side of the corridor: the club is just off Mannheim, with ample parking on site. Pull in, park, walk in, and when you call it a night at 4 or 5 in the morning, home is a short run back up Mannheim.

The room is 21 and over, and smart casual is the dress code: no athletic wear, hats or sleeveless shirts. First time down?
